Multidimensional Gender Ideologies Across Europe: Evidence From 36 Countries

In this paper, we use the “gender as a social structure” framework to assess macro-, interactional-, and micro-level mechanisms explaining stalled revolution in gender ideologies. Using European Values Study 2008 data latent class analysis, look at spread of ideologies examine their association with national levels gendered ascription work care roles, work–family compatibility, inequality societal affluence, individual characteristics, cross-level interactions education 36 (post-)industrialized countries.
